At the Battery Park City Neighbors and Parents' Association our aim is to create the best small town in the Big Apple! We sponsor social and educational events and provide information about local resources to our constituents.
Our calendar is bursting with big events, like the upcoming Halloween Parade, the Holiday Party and the Downtown Preschool Fair. Additionally, we're always adding new events, such as: an outlet mall Shopping Trip, and new Guys' Nite Out, and Teen's Nite Out. The monthly Ladies' Nite Out and Moms' Network meeting continue, as does our periodic Lecture Series. Addressing topics pertinent to our members, the lecture series covers topics such as parenting issues and safety and security issues. We organized the BPC September 11th Commemoration this year and are currently developing the city's first community emergency response team (CERT).
Membership in the Battery Park City Neighbors' Association is open to all residents residing in Battery Park City and Lower Manhattan.
Annual Membership dues are:
$30.00 for a 1-person households
$50 for a 2 or more per household / family
$100 for a 3-year Family Membership
$50 for a Small Business Membership
Many of our events are free to members, while a few require a small fee. Non-members will be asked to pay a fee at most future events, to cover costs and encourage membership.
